SoSE 2016

The steady decline in enrollment of students for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects or courses is cause for concern nationwide. The world is increasingly defined by the advancement of science and technology. This development is recognised by the education policy makers as well as institutions of higher learning in Malaysia.

In cognizance of this concern, UTAR, in partnership with Majlis Professor Negara(MPN), Toray Industries (Malaysia) Sdn. Berhad (founder of Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF)), and Kuala Lumpur Engineering Science Fair (KLESF) aim to make a difference. It is our joint mission to not only spread education but to make an interest in STEM subjects/courses a prominent and lasting feature wherever these are offered.

Themed "Inculcating Innovation In The Teaching of Science and Mathematics", Symposium on Science Education 2016 (SoSE 2016), now into its 3rd year, aims to showcase different ideas and techniques on innovative and effective teaching methods for STEM subject
