The 4th Symposium on Railway Infrastructure and Engineering (SRIE 2024)

Welcome to the 4th Symposium of Railway Infrastructure and Engineering (SRIE 2024)!

Malaysia's railway development continues to play a pivotal role in the nation's economic growth. The Malaysian Government remains committed to advancing mega projects such as the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link), Mass Rapid Transit 3 (MRT3), and other significant infrastructure initiatives to enhance the rail network across the country.

This year's symposium, themed "Fast Tracks to the Future: HSR, AI, and Sustainable Mobility," is especially timely. UTAR?s Centre for Railway Infrastructure and Engineering (CRIE) is dedicated to fostering technological advancements and developing human capital in railway infrastructure and engineering in Malaysia. CRIE collaborates closely with Malaysian government organizations, railway operators, and industry stakeholders to drive interdisciplinary research in areas including high-speed rail (HSR), artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable mobility, socioeconomics, education, training, and service.

We are excited to explore these cutting-edge topics and facilitate meaningful discussions and collaborations. Thank you for joining us at SRIE 2024, and we look forward to a successful and inspiring event.
