Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra Debut Malaysia Tour 2024

Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra to perform for the first time in Malaysia to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and the People’s Republic of China

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and the People’s Republic of China.

In conjunction with this 50th anniversary and to commemorate this important milestone, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra (HKCO), in collaboration with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), will hold its orchestra performance for the first time in Malaysia with three performances planned in August 2024.

To further celebrate the 50 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra will also include in their performances a Malaysian composition titled Kampung and the City by Malaysian composer Chow Jun Yi, and local Malaysian tunes like Azlan Abu Hasan’s Sinaran and P. Ramlee’s Getaran Jiwa.

This collaboration not only showcases the wide repertoire of the Chinese orchestral music; but also, signifies the harmony and the unity that orchestral music brings to the Malaysian audience.

The concert is sponsored by Hong Kong Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau and supported by Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Professional Culture Centre Orchestra and Hui Yin Seh Association.

香港中乐团马来西亚首次巡演
庆祝马来西亚与中国建交50周年纪念


2024年是马来西亚与中国建交50周年的纪念年份。为了配合这个50周年纪念活动并庆祝这个重要的里程碑,拉曼大学(优大)将与香港中乐团(HKCO)合作,于2024年8月首次在马来西亚举办管弦乐演出,并计划进行三场演出。

为了进一步庆祝两国建交50周年,香港中乐团还将在演出中演奏包括马来西亚作曲家赵俊毅创作的作品《甘榜与城市》,以及马来西亚本地曲目,如阿兹兰·阿布·哈山 (Azlan Abu Hasan)的《Sinaran》和比·南利(P. Ramlee)的《Getaran Jiwa》。

这次合作不仅展示了中国管弦乐的广泛曲目,也象征着管弦乐为马来西亚观众带来的和谐与团结。

此次演奏会由中华人民共和国香港特别行政区政府文化体育及旅游局赞助,并得到了香港经济贸易办事处、专业文化中心乐团和慧音社协会的支持。
